This month's Tin Hut Talk guest speaker is Jamey Appleby with her fascinating talk on Resistence is Futile? The Resistence throughout Europe 1939~1945
What was the Resistance Movement? What did it do? What effect did it have on the Second World War and was it worth it?
These are just a few of the questions amateur historian, Jamey Appleby, will cover, as she takes you on a journey through Europe and its clandestine war - introducing you to some of the key players and their unbelievable stories

Join Pete as he unveils the fascinting wartime history of a sleepy West Sussex village thrust into WWII. Discover how Ferring's residents, from wealthy Londoners to everyday folk, navigated wartime regulations under the watchful eye of Constable Jupp. Hear remarkable stories of POWs involved in the "Great Escape" and how community spirit thrived through the WI and local theatre.

This month's Tin Hut Talk guest speaker is Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) Geoffrey Vesey Holt MBE, with his fascinating talk on The Early Development of Tanks and the Lessons Learnt in World War I
Geoffrey, Royal Tank Regiment, was the very first speaker we had for our Tin Hut Talks series and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have him back with us again to close this season’s talks, where you will discover how Britain revolutionised warfare in just 14 months!
