Email Issues…

It has been brought to our attention that someone has been spoofing emails from us. One common tactic used by spammers is the “spoofing” of e-mail addresses. When they send out their junk e-mail (advertising pharmaceuticals, pirated software, false invoices, etc) they will often send a genuine user’s e-mail address in their ‘from’ field so that the message appears to come from them.

Please do not open any emails from bill@shorehamfort.co.uk

The email content is as follows:

Afternoon,

I was hoping to hear from you by now.
May I have payment on invoice #………… today please, or would you like a further extension?

Best regards

Please do not dial the number and please do not reply to the email. Please also do not open any attachments – they will contain a virus.

We can confirm that we are not chasing money.

Our only advise can be to block the user and delete the email from your system.

Please rest assured that our IT ‘man who can’ has taken steps to ensure that this doesn’t happen again.

If you are trying to contact us and we haven’t replied then please bear with us and please try again – it may be that your email has been caught up in the middle of this.

Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
