Shoreham Fort |

Newhaven Most people when they think of Newhaven Fort, think of the one on top of the hill west of the harbour mouth as in the photo above. But there was a fort built at the bottom of the hill first.
This fort was finished around the same time as Littlehampton and is unfortunately not much better off. You can just about make out the two gun emplacements, one at each end and the magazine in the middle
This is another example of why restoring Shoreham is so important, we don't want Shoreham to end up like the other two. |
