Fascinating site and full of local history. Great place to visit especially when the volunteer tours are available and workers on site to talk to!

I used to play here back in the 50’s and I am so pleased to see all the good work you are doing ~ keep it up and thank you!

I take all my visitors to the area to the fort. Being free and having so much history makes a walk on the beach much more interesting (especially to my Canadian visitors).

Great Website and Plenty off History to Explore. Remember playing on here as a Child who would think years later One of My family members was in the royal artillery down here.
The Fort is well worth a visit for the day Kids can go on the beach and then a Spot off fishing off the Arm and a stroll around the Fort with a drink and cake from there Beach hunt cafe. Your be suprised what goes on down at the Fort so go to the Website and Find out More! Keep up the good Work Gary and Friends or shoreham Fort.

So pleased to see the transformation that is taking place.

Good luck with the continuing restoration…

The restoration work is looking good, must visit next time I am in the area.

Very intersting information and pictures, would like to visit if i was ever down in the Area.

Sorry I can’t get to the remembrance service at the fort today. I will be there in spirit, and try to bring some Southern California weather with me!

Thank you for the great tour of the fort today it was fascinating to learn more of the history. I had no idea that filming used to take place. My twins loved the underground part of the tour. Keep up the good work.

Volunteers

People are genuinely surprised when we tell them how few volunteers we have that come on site on a regular basis to help maintain and conserve the site for the enjoyment of the public. If you think you would like to get involved with this amazing project then please do get in touch or come down on one of our volunteer days. It may look like it's all hard, manual work but there really is a job for all.
